Can learning anatomy be useful in your practice and fun, too? You bet!
This unique hands-on approach integrates anatomy with the energy system
of the body, and is appropriate for people who are new to anatomy as
well as nurses and others who have studied conventional anatomy before.
These classes use a multi-media approach that builds on a firm
foundation in Healing Touch or other energy therapy. The organs and body
systems are explored energetically, and new energy treatments are
learned and practiced in each level. It is a multi-level advanced
practice study for experienced energy healers.
"The more knowledge we have, the more focused and effective are our
treatments."
Sue Hovland
Anatomy for Healers® Level 1
An Energetic Approach to the Healthy Body
The students will learn the location, structure, function, vibrational
energy, and associated symbology of the organs and body systems, while
learning many new treatments.
Prerequisite: Healing Touch,
Level 3, or similar energy therapy
practice and permission of instructor or coordinator
Objectives
- To describe and demonstrate the eleven organ systems of the human
body
- To describe, demonstrate, locate, and energetically palpate the
endocrine glands and the major organs of the torso.
- To define concepts of anatomy and physiology as they relate to the
human energy field
- The application of anatomy and physiology in the energetic healing
treatment.
Content
- The structure, function, location and identification of the
landmarks and major organs in the body systems (skin,
muscular, skeletal, digestive, lymphatic and immune, urinary,
reproductive, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, and nervous).
- Location, structure, and energetic palpation of the endocrine glands
and the major organs of the torso.
- Interactive exercises and new energetic treatments as a way of
becoming acquainted with the anatomy and physiology of the human body.
These will include moving energy through the skeleton and muscles;
liver, kidney, lung and lymphatic flushes; artery chelation; limbic
brain balance; pelvic relaxation; and digestive valve releases.
- Teaching methods include: lecture, notebook,
visuals, videos, a
torso with removable organs, an organ "puzzle," a skeleton,
a skull,
and many experiential exercises and treatments.

Anatomy for Healers® Level 2
An Energetic Approach to Diseases
The students will learn a deepening awareness of
the body including an Energetic Approach to Diseases integrating
concepts of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology with energy
therapies. Included are more in-depth knowledge and new advanced energy
treatments in the endocrine system, respiratory system (including asthma
and allergies), digestive system, back problems, and the heart. Healers
will be encouraged to develop their own treatments as they
understand more about body and how it works.
Prerequisite: Anatomy for Healers™ Level
1 (formerly Experiential Anatomy & Physiology for Healers, Level 1)
Objectives
- Learn a deeper understanding of the body tissues and systems.
- Describe diseases and learn appropriate energy treatments in several
systems of the body.
- The application of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology in the
energetic healing treatment.
Content
- Experience an energetic connection with cells and the four tissues.
- Learn more in depth knowledge about several systems of the
body--skeletal (back), digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, and
endocrine.
- Exercises and new advanced energy treatments to become with some
major diseases in those systems, including an energetic approach to
allergies.
- Develop a protocol for the energetic treatment of diseases,
incorporating an anatomical approach.

Anatomy for Healers® Level
3
The Brain and Nervous System
The class looks in much greater detail the structure and function of
various parts of the brain and nervous system, and the role they play in
diseases. With this understanding of anatomy, new advanced energy
treatments will be learned for stress, trauma, and some diseases. Healers
will also be encouraged to develop their own treatments applying
knowledge of this part of the body.
Prerequisite: Anatomy for Healers™ Level 1 (formerly Experiential
Anatomy & Physiology for Healers, Level 1)
Approved for 24 CE hours for nurses and massage therapists by the
Healing Touch Program™
Objectives
-
Describe the structures and functions of the brain and nervous
system, including neurotransmitters.
-
Learn how the heart affects the brain.
-
Describe several common diseases of the nervous system.
-
Apply the concepts of anatomy in energetic treatment protocols in
the brain and nervous system.
Content
- Learn the structure, function, and subtle energy of the nervous
system and
many parts of the brain, including neurotransmitters.
- Describe the pathophysiology of some problems and diseases.
- Learn how to "talk" to the body.
- Interactive exercises and new advanced energy treatments using this
knowledge to address stress, trauma, and some diseases.

"At the conclusion of all our studies we must try once again to experience the human as soul, and not just as a buzz of bioelectricity; the human will as will, not just a surge of hormones; the human heart not as a fibrous, sticky pump, but as the metaphoric organ of understanding."
